Are you considering resistance bands for building muscle but you’re wondering if resistance bands really are effective for building muscle? In other words, are resistance bands legit or not?
I’ve known for a long time that resistance bands in combination with free weights are super effective for building muscle, but the big question is whether you can you build muscle with just resistance bands. I decided to put that question to the test using only resistance bands for a full year.
The workouts were just as intense as they ever were in the gym using free weights, and in some ways they were actually better. So my question was answered. Can resistance bands build muscle just as effectively as free weights? And the answer was yes, absolutely they can. And the more I trained that way, the more I started to think that resistance bands in some ways were actually superior to free weights.
One of the other things that I learned in this process was that resistance bands actually have the possibility or the potential to eliminate most of the reasons why people fail in the gym. Not only are resistance bands super effective, but on top of it, unlike the gym, they allow you to workout wherever you want, whenever you want and however you want.
So fast forward, after a full year of training only with resistance bands, there was just no looking back for me at that point. It just made way too much sense for me, so I started creating content. I started doing videos, talking about my workouts, using resistance bands, and I started getting questions like What kind of resistance bands do you recommend and do you have any kind of full resistance bands workout programs? And that right there was the birth of Undersun Fitness.
Funny thing is, in the beginning, I got a ton of crap for promoting this idea that you can build muscle the same way with just resistance bands that you could with free weights. I had already proven it after a full year of using nothing but bands. The funny thing is, I’ve got all these critics out there who had never really given resistance bands a fair shot because if they actually did one of these full workouts the light bulb would go off and they would realize that resistance bands are a super effective training tool.
Look, I guarantee the training with resistance bands will do these five things for your workouts. One. Challenge your physique like you never thought possible to. You will have some of the best peak contractions, muscle pumps and overall best workouts of your life. Three. You’re going to recognize the muscle building potential of this style of training. Four: you’ll realize how much more time efficient this style of training is over regular gym equipment. And number five, the big one, it’s going to make you wish that you had tried resistance bands sooner. So there you have it. I love resistance bands and now you know why. For me, it’s been four and a half years since I’ve gone to the gym, lifted weights or used machines, and I feel awesome. I have zero desire to go back but I don’t expect you to quit going to the gym. But hopefully this gives you some insights into the possibilities of this very serious training tool that you can incorporate into your workouts however you choose.
