It’s Diabetes Week 2022 and the focus this year is about rethinking how we think about diabetes.
Not so long ago, it was widely accepted that type 2 diabetes was a permanent and progressive condition, meaning that once you had it, you had it for life and that diabetic health would generally worsen over time. (How bleak!)
Times have certainly changed, and there is now significant evidence to show that improving blood sugar control, reducing diabetes medication and type 2 diabetes remission are all possible through certain dietary & lifestyle approaches.
In light of Diabetes Week, MHS practitioners Kirsty and Danielle discuss their approach to prevention, treatment and remission of type 2 diabetes in their clinical practice.
