If you didn’t make it bleed, that means you didn’t puncture the eardrum. It probably is still sensitive — bruised — from the inadvertent contact. I’d give it a day or two and in all likelihood, it will heal by itself (as long as you don’t do any more q-tipping right now). If it is still swollen and painful after a few days, then definitely go see a doctor.
You’ve probably seen a ton of fad diets and food ads that are supposed to turn you into a fat-burning machine! But burning fat and losing fat are not quite the same thing. Burning fat is simply using fat as a fuel source. This does not mean you are losing weight. Your body still burns some fat, even when you are at rest.
